Motion Blur

08.04.19

After looking at my photography moodboard, it was decided we wanted our final photography outcome to include some blur motion shots as these show the psychedelic and intoxicated feel of our concept.

In order to get this effect I have researched into shutter speed, as this is how motion blur is achieved. The longer the shutter speed the longer the more blur will be seen and longer light trails will appear.

If using an iPhone, an app called slow camera can be downloaded which changes the blur motion of the image and can create the effects we want.

We plan to do test shots to see what kind of effect is best fitting with our concept. After speaking with my tutor, we have been advised to try; shutter speed: 1/5, aperture: 3.5 and ISO 1600, all on manual. Experimenting with the camera settings we should be able to find the desired outcome.
